Insight
It started with a spotlight. I was selected as one of the featured profiles for Intuit’s “We Are the Self-Employed” campaign—an effort to reframe small business ownership as modern, bold, and deeply personal. That visibility led to something unexpected: a seat at the table. I was hired as the lead brand writer for the campaign, with extended contracts to shape messaging across digital and print assets, write scripts for subsequent features, and lead the storytelling for key QuickBooks partnerships, including Google Apps for Work and Apple Pay. Our challenge? Show microbusinesses—often one to five people strong—that powerful tools aren’t just for “big companies,” they’re for them, too.
Impact
I wrote campaign copy across channels—digital, print, and video—then led messaging and creative development for the QuickBooks + Google Apps integration launch. From landing pages and blogs to press releases, in-product placements, and social content, I helped translate technical features like SSO and Calendar syncing into relatable benefits: more time, less hassle, and smarter business growth. The work elevated how QuickBooks shows up in the world—as a platform that grows with you, speaks your language, and helps you own every part of your business with confidence.
